If you've visited The Walt Disney World Resort before, you have have heard of Disney Genie+ or even FastPass+. Well... both of those systems have been retired.
Enter... the Lightning Lane system - Ka-Chow!
This can feel complicated, but... it isn't that bad. Really! I'm going to walk you through it... step by step.

The Lightning Lane system officially rolled out on Wednesday 07.24.2024 - and there weren't many issues with the roll out. Kudos to the Disney IT team! BUT...
STAY TUNED -- I know it sounds trite, but... there are going to be changes. The Dreams' content team at The Dis tracks all of it... and I'll keep this page updated with what you need to know.
Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass each can be purchased in advance - depending on eligibility - at 7 a.m. ET. Guests may pre-plan their experiences and return times at the time of purchase.
NOTE: You can only purchase Lightning Lanes and book times via the MyDisneyExperience app.
7-days before check-in
Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels will be able to plan Lightning Lane passes up to 7-days in advance, for their entire stay (up to 14 days).
All other guests can plan up to 3 days in advance.
Eligible Resorts include Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green® Resort.

There are a handful of attractions that will use Lightening Lane Single Pass. These attractions are NOT included in Lightening Lane Multi Pass.
Disney's Magic Kingdom Park
Speed across a world with no horizons in a high-stakes race based on the Disney sci-fi film TRON: Legacy. Leave the real world behind and join Team Blue in a quest across the Grid—the dark, computerized world with no horizons from TRON.
Climb aboard your very own Lightcycle and take off on a high-speed adventure, racing against the Grid’s most menacing Programs. Surge past your fierce opponents as you attempt to cross through 8 Energy Gates and secure your team’s victory.
TRON Lightcycle / Run is one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world.
Disney's Magic Kingdom Park
Heigh-Ho, It’s Off You Go!
Deep inside an age-old mountain, clamber into a rustic mine train and make your way up a steep incline.
At the summit, feel the wind across your face as you navigate hairpin turns and head deep into the mine shaft—your creaky cart teetering back and forth. Soon, the dark sparkles with glittering jewels and you encounter the Seven Dwarfs, whistling and singing while they work.
Chug through the cavern and climb skyward. At the peak, glimpse an incredible view of Fantasyland before racing back down to the foot of the mountain.
EPCOT
Take off on an intergalactic chase through space and time with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
