The Disney Destiny 'float out' at the Myer Werft shipyard
NEW - Disney Destiny 'float out'
Our first 'real' look at Disney's newest ship

On Saturday 08.09.2025, the Disney Destiny left the Meyer Werft shipyard Hall 6 in Papenburg, Germany - and is now moored at the outfitting pier. (Photo via Meyer Werft.)

The "float out" is a ceremony that marks the first time a newly constructed vessel touches water, typically when it's moved from a dry dock into a harbor. The Disney Destiny touched water in March, but this is still a significant milestone - it signifies the completion of the ship's exterior construction and is a major milestone in the shipbuilding process.
