A bit of an introduction
Disney might actually be in my DNA.
- My parents honeymooned at Disneyland.
- I grew up in Southern California, so Disneyland was our home park. We would do a visit each year - talk about core memories. My sister and I would stay up for days mapping out every ride, every restaurant, every detail. Sound familiar?
- I even worked at Disneyland in college — on the Autopia attraction. (And somehow I have zero photos. Zero.)
My first trip to Walt Disney World wasn't until the mid-'80s, when there were only two parks. Now? Four theme parks, two water parks, 30-plus resort hotels — and I know my way around all of it.
I don't just plan these trips. I take them.
- We are Disney and Universal regulars — we visit the parks frequently, so I always know what's current on the ground.
- We are Disney Vacation Club members.
- DISNEY CRUISE LINE - I was first on the Disney Wonder in 1999. Today, I'm a Pearl Disney Castaway Club member, having completed more than 38 cruises. We have Disney cruised all over the world — the Baltic, the Mediterranean, Alaska, Greece and Italy, the Norwegian Fjords -- even in the Caribbean, and The Bahamas. And these days, I get to host The DIS Unlimited's DCL Show podcast.
- ADVENTURES BY DISNEY - In 2019, we took an Adventures by Disney trip to London and Paris — my first time at Disneyland Paris. Since then, we have done adventures in The Galapagos Islands, Rome, as well as Southern California and Disneyland.
- AULANI - A DISNEY RESORT & SPA IN HAWAI'I - In 2023, I got to attend a Disney boot camp at Aulani - A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawai'i.

I spent most of my career as a journalist. I stepped away from that profession to be a parent. When I was struck by challenging times - divorce - being diagnosed with cancer - OH MY!

Disney Cruise Line has released new itineraries for late 2026-early 2027 - this includes the Halloween season - Thanksgiving - holiday season - New Year 2027 - Spring Break.

DCL Itineraries
Get details about Disney Cruise Line's summer 2026 itineraries -- that is through September 2026.
- The Disney Wish will continue doing 3- and 4-night Bahamian itineraries out of Port Canaveral;
- The Disney Treasure will continue doing 7-night Caribbean itineraries out of Port Canaveral;
- The Disney Destiny will be doing 4- and 5-night itineraries in the Caribbean and The Bahamas out of Fort Lauderdale's Port Everglades;
- Alaska - For summer 2026, Disney Cruise Line will be having two ships in Alaska - both the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic;
- The Disney Fantasy will be doing itineraries out of Port Canaveral;
- The Disney Adventure will be doing 3-, 4-, and 5-night itineraries out of Singapore.

What's new for the year ahead?
There are big projects in the works at Disney's Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom, but a number of Walt Disney World Resort favorites are getting refreshed - and there is also a free kids dining plan offer as well as other discounts.
Sailing starting in November 2025
The 8th ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet... and the third of the Wish-class ships... The Disney Destiny will set sail from Fort Lauderdale in November 2025.
Legends of epic proportions spring to life on board the Disney Destiny, the 8th ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. When iconic Disney, Pixar and Marvel heroes and villains meet, that’s where the magic happens. Setting sail on 4- and 5-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean — beginning November 2025.
7-night itineraries in the Caribbean
Disney Cruise Line's sixth ship and the second Wish-class ship is getting great reviews.
The Disney Treasure set sail in December 2024 and is doing 7-night Caribbean itineraries out of Port Canaveral, toggling between the Eastern and Western Caribbean routes.
From the Haunted Mansion Parlor to the Plaza de Coco dining venue and the spectacular stage show, Disney Tales of Moana, get ready for adventure on the lovely Disney Treasure.
